Inquiry/STEM

Term Three

This term our students have been exposed to Coding and Robotics. In the first 5 weeks, our students explored coding and learnt how to code using various resources such as Scratch Jr and Code.org. From Week 7 onwards, we explored the topic of Robotics and we particularly looked at coding an Ozobot. These experiences have provided students with a variety of challenges that have allowed them to continue to grow on their learning journey.

Term Two

This term our students have been introduced to the Computational Thinking Model. This is a toolbox of concepts and approaches that they can use to solve problems.  We have been exploring how we can use Computational Thinking when completing a STEM Challenge.

This term our students are having the opportunity to "Tinker" with Electronics Kits.  During these sessions students will learn the basics of how to make a simple circuit.

This term our students have been exploring True Colours for their inquiry. They have been learning to understand themselves and others. This helps them to effectively participate, celebrate, and contribute to our world. Take a look!
